Glossary

A quick guide to the terms you'll see in Shopfront—what they mean, and what (if anything) you need to do.

Status

TermDescription
LiveYour item is successfully listed and visible on the marketplace. No action needed.
ProcessingYour listing is being published to the selected marketplaces. This usually takes a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the platform.
ErrorSomething went wrong while trying to list your item. You'll see a short message explaining why (e.g., missing info, duplicate listing, category error). Click into the listing to edit and retry.
Pending SyncThe listing is waiting to sync updates (like price or inventory) to one or more marketplaces. This can happen after editing or reconnecting a marketplace.
DelistedYour item has been removed from one or more marketplaces—usually because it sold elsewhere or was manually removed.
DraftA saved but unpublished listing. Use drafts to build listings ahead of time—great for batching or testing.

Feature

TermDescription
MarketplaceAny platform you're selling on—like eBay, Depop, Grailed, Facebook, etc. You can manage them all from within Shopfront.
AI Description / TitleGenerated suggestions for your item’s title, description, tags, and price—based on the image you provide. You can edit anything before listing.
Chrome ExtensionA browser add-on that helps Shopfront work with platforms like Depop, Grailed, and Facebook. Required for some marketplaces to list and sync properly. Keep it installed and up to date.
Multi-Marketplace ListingCreate one listing and publish it to multiple platforms at once—saving time and reducing double-handling.
RelistPost an item again that was previously delisted (e.g., if a buyer didn’t pay or you removed it temporarily).

Inventory

TermDescription
Connected MarketplaceA marketplace account that’s been linked to Shopfront. Required for listing, inventory syncing, and auto-delisting.
Inventory SyncKeeps your stock levels updated across all marketplaces. If an item sells on one platform, it’s automatically removed from the others. Can take a few minutes to update.
DelistingThe automatic removal of an item from other platforms once it sells—helps avoid overselling (coming soon). Manual delisting within Shopfront is available.
Auto-SyncShopfront automatically updates your listings when you edit details, adjust stock, or make a sale.
