Sale not detected
Quick answer
Enable Sales Detection checks eBay, Depop, Grailed and Vestiaire Collective for sales at your plan's interval, from every 12 hours on Free to every 10 minutes on Premium Plus. Shopify sales arrive by webhook only when the connection has the read_orders scope, and Facebook Marketplace sales must be recorded with Mark as → Sold.
How does Shopfront find sales on each marketplace?
| Marketplace | How sales reach Shopfront | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| eBay, Depop, Grailed, Vestiaire Collective | Scheduled checks | Enable Sales Detection on, and the channel connected |
| Shopify | Order webhooks | The read_orders scope on the Shopify connection |
| Facebook Marketplace | Not detected | Record the sale yourself with Mark as → Sold |
Why hasn't an eBay, Depop, Grailed or Vestiaire sale appeared?
Open Settings → Marketplaces → Settings and check the Sales Detection card.
- Enable Sales Detection must be on. Its label names Depop, Grailed and eBay, but it also controls Vestiaire Collective checks. When it's off, the card shows Paused and no checks run. Only owners and admins can change it.
- Each polled channel shows Connected or Disconnected. A disconnected channel isn't checked; see Channel disconnected.
- The footer shows when Shopfront last checked and how often it checks on your plan, for example "Last checked 20 minutes ago · Checks every 1 hour (Pro plan)".
| Plan | How often Shopfront checks |
|---|---|
| Free | Every 12 hours |
| Pro | Every hour |
| Premium | Every 30 minutes |
| Premium Plus | Every 10 minutes |
A sale made just after a check appears at the next one.
Why hasn't a Shopify sale appeared?
Shopify sales don't use Enable Sales Detection. They arrive by webhook when the connection has order access. If the connection's Test Connection result says "Listing-only mode: the read_orders scope wasn't granted, so cross-channel delisting and Shopify sales tracking are off", add read_orders and reconnect. See Connect Shopify.
How do I record a Facebook Marketplace sale?
Shopfront doesn't detect Facebook sales, so record each one yourself.
Mark it as sold. Open the item's menu and select Mark as → Sold.
Enter the sale. Enter Sale Price (AUD) and Sold On.
Delist it elsewhere. If the item is still listed elsewhere, leave Delist from all marketplaces ticked to remove it from your other channels.
Why wasn't the item removed from my other channels?
Cross-Channel Delisting ("Automatically delist from other channels when a sale is confirmed") controls whether a detected sale removes the item from your other channels. It applies to Shopify sales too. Turning off Enable Sales Detection also turns this toggle off, and you can only turn it back on while Enable Sales Detection is on.
After a sale, check each channel row on the item to confirm the other listings were removed.
Channel disconnected
A disconnected channel shows Reconnect required in Settings → Marketplaces → Channels, and its listings and order sync pause until you select Reconnect. eBay refreshes the connection or sends you to eBay to authorise again, Shopify asks for its Client ID and Client Secret again, and Depop, Grailed, Vestiaire Collective and Facebook reconnect through the Shopfront extension.
Import stuck or duplicated
An import keeps running after you close the page, and Shopfront refuses a second import of a marketplace while one is running. If duplicate checking pauses, Shopfront retries it automatically; possible duplicates wait in Imports → Needs review until you combine them, keep them separate or choose which copy to keep.
