Listing failed
Quick answer
Select View details on the channel row with the Error badge to see the error, its code and the next step, such as reconnecting the marketplace, adding a missing eBay business policy or replacing rejected photos. Fix the cause, check the marketplace for the item, then select Retry Listing.
Where do I see why a listing failed?
Open the item and find the marketplace's row in its channel list. A failed listing shows an Error badge. Select View details to open the Listing Error dialog.
The dialog shows:
- Error Description: the marketplace's own message, or Shopfront's next step when the marketplace gave none.
- A badge with the error code, such as
AUTH_EXPIRED. - For most codes, a line with the next step from the table below.
Held listings
If the row shows Held: followed by a message instead, Shopfront stopped the listing before sending anything. Fix what the message says, then list again.
What does each error mean?
Marketplace stands for the marketplace's name, for example eBay or Depop.

How do I retry?
Fix the cause from the table. If the channel's card in Settings → Marketplaces → Channels shows Publishing paused, resolve that alert before you retry.
Check the marketplace. Search the marketplace for the item. A listing that timed out can still have gone live, and retrying it creates a second copy.
Retry. Select Retry Listing in the Listing Error dialog.
Each marketplace has its own row, so a failure on one doesn't stop the item listing on the others. Clear Error removes the error from the row so you can list the item again later.
Troubleshooting
Fixes for failed listings, a missing or outdated extension, a disconnected channel, an undetected sale, a stuck or duplicated import, and a price change that didn't reach the marketplace.
Extension not detected
The Shopfront extension runs in desktop Chrome and is installed from the Chrome Web Store. Enable it at chrome://extensions or update it to the latest version, refresh Shopfront and select Check again; Depop and Grailed need it to connect, and Facebook Marketplace needs it for every list and delist.
