AI listing generation
Quick answer
Choose Create, upload up to 500 photos and select Generate; Shopfront groups the photos into items and writes a draft title, description, category and attributes for each channel. Review each draft in its workflow before you list it.
How do I create a listing from photos?
Upload your photos. Choose Create and upload your product photos. You can upload up to 500 images in one batch.
Choose templates and channels. Choose a Base template, then open Settings to choose the channels, each channel's template and the Hero Image options.
Generate the drafts. Select Generate. Shopfront groups the photos into items and prepares product and marketplace listing data.
Review each product. Open the resulting workflow and review each product before listing it.
Generated data can include a title, description, brand, condition, category and category-specific attributes. Check these against the item and correct any mistakes. Nothing is published until you list it.
Use templates to set writing instructions and channel previews to review marketplace-specific data. Price suggestions and image processing are optional and have their own allowances.
Measurement Auto-Detection
Photograph a tape measure or ruler along the garment dimension you want to record. The measurement reader is instructed to read a physical scale and not guess from the item's apparent size.
- Keep the scale and the garment's terminal edge visible and in focus.
- Keep the tape taut and aligned with the dimension being measured.
- Photograph each required dimension. Up to six measurement photos are read per item.
- Inches are converted to centimetres for the saved measurement.
Unreadable or out-of-range readings are discarded. When two photos of the same dimension disagree by more than 2 cm, that dimension is dropped. If a measurement is missing, retake that photo more clearly or add the measurement to the description yourself.
The {{measurements}} template variable inserts the saved values into your listing description.
How many listings can I generate?
Your plan includes monthly generation units. See Billing and usage limits for the current allowances and where to check usage before a batch.
Workflows
Open Listings → Workflows to move products through four stages, Under Review, Ready to List, Listed and Completed, and to list, schedule, delist or mark them sold. Completed holds sold, shipped, completed and ended products; delisted products return to Ready to List.
Templates
Manage templates in Settings → Marketplaces → Templates to control generated titles and descriptions. Use variables to insert saved product fields and choose a default template for each channel.
