Sales Detection & Delisting
Shopfront automatically detects when items sell and removes them from your other channels. No manual tracking, no overselling.
Shopfront monitors your connected marketplaces and detects sales automatically. When something sells on one channel, it's removed from the others — preventing overselling on one-of-a-kind items.
How Sales Detection Works
The detection method varies by channel:
Two-phase polling approach:
- Quick check — A lightweight public request checks if your listing is still active
- Verification — Only if a sale is detected, an authenticated call confirms the order details
This minimises load on your marketplace accounts and avoids unnecessary credential usage.
Polls the eBay Orders API for recent paid orders. When a new order is found, it's matched to your Shopfront listings automatically.
Real-time webhooks — no polling delay. Sales are detected instantly when an order is placed. Always real-time, regardless of plan.
Polling Frequency
How often Shopfront checks for sales depends on your plan:
| Plan | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Free | Every 12 hours |
| Pro | Every hour |
| Premium | Every 10 minutes |
Shopify is always real-time, regardless of plan.
Cross-Channel Delisting
When a sale is detected:
- The item is marked as Sold in your dashboard
- An order record is created with buyer and sale details
- The listing is automatically removed from all other connected channels
Both sales detection and cross-channel delisting can be toggled independently from Settings → Seller Operations.
